- Open the CommBank app on your mobile device.
- From the homepage, select “Pay someone.”
- If the recipient’s PayID is a mobile number:
- Choose the “Mobile number” option.
- Locate the person you want to pay from your phonebook or press the “+” sign to enter their mobile number.
- If their mobile number has been registered as a PayID, the logo will display alongside their chosen PayID name.
- If this is the person you want to pay, tap “OK.”
- If the recipient’s PayID is an email address, Landline number, ABN/ACN, or Organisation ID:
- Select the “+” sign in the top right-hand corner.
- From the menu of options, click “more.”
- Locate the PayID type you would like to pay to and enter the details provided, such as their email address.
- If this has been registered as a PayID, the logo will display alongside their chosen PayID name.
- If this is the person you want to pay, click “proceed.”
- Enter the amount you want to pay and provide a description in the 280-character field.
- Confirm your payment.
- The person you’re transferring money to will be able to see the payment in the transaction history of the account linked to their PayID.
- Note that if you’ve previously paid money to this account, the payment will appear in less than a minute. However, for first-time payments to a new payee, there may be a hold of up to 24 hours as a security measure.

Select + to pay someone NEW
Choose “More” and subsequently “Pay Someone” using their email address.
Input the email address displayed on your PayID deposit page.
Upon selecting OK, a popup window will appear confirming that OrbitRemit is registered under this PayID.
Enter the Amount to deposit
Provide your Description/Reference in the designated field labeled “Description.”
Review that all details are correct.
Click on “Pay Now” to complete the transaction.
This should complete your Instant PayID Deposit
